Hi there,

Kieran here, just though i would register. I dont know how this will go down but i hope im welcomed, because i dont have a real blaster, its a Chinese copy that im ashamed to work on, but its all i could get my hands on. I bought it for 30euro with it mainly needing an axle and a few other smaller parts. Its running a 250cc push rod air cooled 4 stroke. I noticed fuel in the oil, so im at a loss on weather to spend money on a rebuild or just buy a yamaha engine. Granted its probably the rings which is an easy fix, but im trying to make this into a real blaster and removing everything Chinese that i can.

Im not going to cheap out on the parts and put time into it, i plan on strengthen the frame next as it has rusted at parts, and if i decided to change engine a bit of cutting may be needed.

I have experience with bikes (2 wheels) and know what im talking about so please dont threat me like an idiot just because i have a copy.

Thanks Kieran

Hey, you got a good deal for 30 euro. I wish things were that cheap in Italy. That would cover dinner haha. I hope you have fun with it! I'm still scratching my head with my bike.

Welcome! Nothing wrong with what ya own, At least ya have something! Some of those china knock offs have a bad rap. I have heard bad things, but it doesn't matter. I can't get your pics to work. Just build it up, take lots of pics, and ask away!!-Bob

thanks lads appreciate the welcome, im from Kilkenny, i have the rebuild started already and im just sourcing parts from quad brakers at the moment, most parts are worn ie tie rods and all bushings.

I will start a rebuild thread so ye can all follow my work and direct me in the right way,

Once again thanks

please please take my advice! iv had loads of chinese sh!t (from madbikes in the south) i had 3 drift karts a mini moto and a buggy i went threw 6 engines! (full engines ) i tought it was great at the time but i look back and i regret every bit of it! so just put the bike on donedeal for 150 and buy a blaster there going for around 700 (thats what i paid for mine and its just been rebuilt) !

welcome aboard, only in Europe do you see a pic of chineese junk next to a beautiful rock wall! There are some chineese quads that are not a total loss. My buddie just picked up a Bush Hog 90 2 stroke. These were a promo deal for the dealers. buy a peice of farm machinary and will throw in this quad. Well I found out that Polaris makes the frame and body and a company called HOWIHT makes the engine. left side kick start???? This quad was ridden 3 times then sat in a shed for 4 yrs. we did'nt have the key when we got it. I called bush hog and they sent me a free ignition and keys in less than a week. the quad had some clogged jets, drained fluids and filled and this little 90 2 stroke ripped as good as a LT80, has electric start ,headlight, reverse, a rack for your 6 pack! and its a killer little pit quad for those late night dune adventures. Another decent brand would be Kaysea and Jetmoto, Honda clones that you can bolt honda parts on!
