well i just picked up this 1993 blaster i rode it around for a couple days and this blaster smokes pretty bad im a 4 stroke guy new to 2 stroke but i think its still smoking a little much. anyways i went for a ride today and the piston seized. took it all apart and the piston is shot and the cylinder is scratched. im going to be taking it to a shop today in a little bit i know ;im going to have to bore it out but what is a safe bore for a stoke blaster im thinking just the .030 over bore. i dont need is really fast just reliable. quick help would be best so i can take it to the shop. and what would cause this i know it was getting oil is was smoking pretty good. any help will be greatly appreciated.

thanks. dan.

getting it bored isn,t gonna add any power so whoever told you that doesn't know what there talking about if you get it bored just get the .030 over and only bore what you need to ;)

ur welcome...

no more power ??? boreing adds displacement, more displacement = more power. while it may not be the most noticeable power gain every little bit helps. but the more you bore this time the less you can bore next time so its probably best to play it safe and go as little as you can get away with

its oil injection and it seemed to be working it was smoking. im getting it bored out to remove only the scratch parts. one step from stock. im going to be getting the whole motor rebuilt now too. i was thinking about removing the oil injection and going the mixing route but not sure.
