New Acusistion : 250 Quadracer

Son just got it for $250 to help a friend out. Don't know if PO has missing parts, no biggie, some on CL.

Here's the stickler, it's got wrong set-up for bolt that holds two pieces of kicker together. Got the bolt for kicker to shaft. By off chance does someone have pic of the bolt or whatever it is that holds two pieces together? So maybe I can have a clue. PO had a collar and screw on there but it hits frame. Thanks!! I:I

He needed money for vet bill. Hopefully he has the missing pieces. Needing foot pegs, brake pedal, shifter, front plastic, seat, silencer. Has fmf pipe. Missing front brake lever, but think it's because it hits twist throttle X( Almost to fuggly for pics

I did get it to fire pouring little gas on air cleaner, so there is hope. Gonna clean carb tomorrow. Worth whole lot more running. Son will probably off it cheap or trade for parts.

Thanks BD7, it shows that whatever is missing at the pivot point will require fabrication engineering or Presidential Solution .

Good news is most the pieces showed up, cleaned the carb and it does run, tho breaking up towards top end. Hoping it was the chain saw gas 8-|, didn't have any good chit mixed for Blaster/Banshee. Only did couple hole shots cause no breaks hooked up. Rear pedal needs some work too X( , no pivotX(

Update: swingarm is jacked. The ears where it clamps the carrier are broke off X(. Those of you that are familular with the LT, do you think it can be welded, or should I start looking for a swinger?

ask SICIVICDUDE, he had to do some sort of fabbing to the swinger on the LT he picked up.

those 85-86 swingarms are known to break the carrier clamps off, you can try to re-weld them or go aftermarket

I f SI doesn't chime in, maybe I'll PM. Also should have been clearer, the break on the carrier ears is on the bottom, weird.

from what i remember james didnt have a 85-86, but if you look on QRHQ, its a common failure for them to break off

No swinger here.. i coulda got a shortened 87 with mine but didnt have the extra $300 for it.. my quad would be a animal with a shorter swinger.. it dont keep the wheels on the ground with the stock lenght

Ad on CL for a +4.5 for $300. Took it to the neighbor, gonna TIG it for $50, found stock on CL for 70, don't know condition. This is my son's project, wants to flip it/trade for a roller/fixer trx 250 or another Banshee. just want to make it rideable best we can without spending to much. Gotta fix brake pedal, no pivot on it. Hope he doesn't want to tear it apart and paint it, tho it would look lots better. I do have some Ford Tractor blue

Little update: Got swinger welded, got all the plastic, gotta fix the hood/nose piece. Anyone have a clue as to main jet with fmf pipe? Going check it, but doesn't run right as it trys to come into powerband. Carb clean, good plug, didn't notice difference pulling choke or removing air filter, wierd. Any help would be welcome.

with the stock tm34 right around a 290 without the airbox lid.
