I just installed my fmf fatty with pipe and started with a 300 main ..the bike runs good at 3/4 throttle but getting it there is a little boggy..like when i putter around or try to get on the gas anything less i have to feather the throttle cause its boggy..so im thinking its the needle setting.. my mods are stock motor, uni filter, and air lid off..the temps are in the range of 25-40...i know how to plug chop but want to address this before very fine tuning..

Stock needle should be on middle clip for your mods.

Have you fitted an aftermarket needle from a jet kit, they are usually crap.

If Awks methods do not fix the prob, you may have an air leak.

My buddy checked the float height and said it was good..have not touched anything yet..just installed the 300 main ..i did notice when i reved it in neutral it hung up at rpm's ..so thats the air screw correct?should i go clockwise or counter?

read the link above about airscrew adjustment, turning it in richens the circut, turning it out adds more air and leans the circut
adjust it per the link for high idle
