A lot of you know I have a YouTube page and shoot a lot of ATV related videos. I've had several users msg me and say they would pay for the videos and were wondering why I dont charge for them....
Well I am a Google Adsense partner (I make a very small amount of money each time someone views my videos), but I'd do the vids even if I wasn't getting revenue from them. I've been making vids for years and just now got accepted into the program...
So here's my idea and I would like your opinion on it. I'm thinking about setting up links throughout random videos (descriptions or annotations) for a link to donate to my PayPal. I don't want to seem greedy but the truth of the matter is the more money I receive from my videos the more stuff I can buy to make more videos. I have broke nowhere near even yet between the cost of the camera, extra lighting I bought, the time spent on editing and finding extra info for the vids, ect....

So what do you think?

That's a pretty good idea. I just broke 100,000 views last week and many of the people watching the vids go to my website. It's a great way to attract potential customers and it's free. You can install a “donate now” button on your website. Why not build your own site and keep all of your vids there. If you can write the site yourself, Go Daddy will host it and register your domain name for about $60 a year. Once you have a site, get it up in the search engines and you'll come up on more Google searches. This will equate to even more views on You Tube. More views = more $$$$$. I'm going to install one of those buttons and see how it works. Only takes a couple of minutes and lets face it.............................$10 is $10. Good luck and nice job with the vids.

do they allow that ????

Unfortunately it is extremely hard to get answers about YouTube related questions. Even if its the smallest thing you find yourself clicking link after link after link trying to find the answer you are looking for... The legal contract for YouTube partnership is hundreds of pages long and I don't have the time to look through that kinda legal stuff... I have seen other youtubers with donate buttons before though...

That is an AWESOME idea. Ill definitely have to look into that. Then on the website I could divide my videos up into automotive, atv repairs, riding, ect.... Rep given. Definitely will be doing some research on this....

Thanks for the compliments! :)

Have you thought about a riding vid? Something along the lines of this;

HD camera + roost + music = Niceness

Simple, but his original video got him a couple mill views and sponsored by Red Bull.

If I could do that life would be golden.... However as a youtube partner you cannot have an copy written music in your videos. I cant even have the radio on in the background.... However if I can get the rights to some music or some uncopy written much i would be all set. I would love a riding compilation vid though....

what kind of music would you like in your vids?

I have a guy that allows me to use his dub step in mine
and I have another guy that allows me to use his rap music in mine.

I am not a full partner but I am able to monetize all my vid (same rules apply)

Im just getting into dub step and like it lol. Funny you should mention that.

Im really not picky as far as music. Dont care for too much rap or country though. I like everything else just about....

You can google public domain music. After searching for a while you can find decent music for background. Maybe not your every day listening but certainly better than nothing.
