I bought a blaster off of my friend the other day and I went to change the rear brake pads, and I took the cover off and there was NOTHING inside. just the pad and the cable end flopping around. anyone have one they could hook me up with? I don't really know what its called?

It may be worth hitting up member "Awk08" he sells an awesome bolt on hydraulic rear brake that he builds from a gxsr bike..... i have one and they work awesome.

Not really looking to upgrade, as this is just something I paid a couple hundred bucks for to just beat around the farm. But id like it to stop a little bit, really just want to keep the stock brakes.

I understand that his setup is a lot better than stock, I just am no looking to spend almost how much I paid for the quad just on a rear brake set up. I really just need the guts of the caliper. Since you both have the swap, would you be interested in selling the pieces from inside the caliper?

both of mine are 03+[and the 1 im supposed to get tomorrow has the 03+swap]so I have no cable brake parts try ebay I do a lot on ebay and have mostly good fortune with ebay

Thanks guys, and yeah I was looking at ebay. And theres like three complete calipers on there for 150 bucks. Still a bit more than I was hoping.

Yeah when I searched for the part, I found that thread. But I cant get it to work without the actual mechanism.

I don't think ive been a member long enough to pm you back. But my zip is 15376.

3 days and 3 posts for the message system to activate for you.
should be good tomorrow

I have a caliper lying around. Its one of the first things I pulled off when I got the bike. Pads still look good.
But I would think distance is a bit of an issue here, as I am from SA
