these cable brakes are driving me crazy!here is what im dealing with, need advice.

i go rideing every weekend 98 blaster i know and understand the rear caliper on this thing and have been fixing it every weekend.
i have put a new cable on the rear, took apart the caliper and cleaned and greased the pads so they slide very well, adjusted them so they work good.
but after doing this every weekend for 4 weeks they still lockup on the roter after i go rideing sometimes while im rideing.

question-can i take the plastic automatic adjuster out and just adjust them and leave this out for good.my problem is my rear breaks are locking on the rotor after about 4-6 hours of rideing.
the main caliper has 2 or 3 big washers in it that are loose in there i have looked at the service manual and its no help.these big washers just stay loose,am i missing something in the caliper.

im going out to work on it again today (breake locked up again)going riding at fingerlakes in columbia missouri tomorow.

if you need pictures of the caliper taken apart i will take them today and show you the loose washers in it.just let me know

thanks for the help everyone:)

I took a brake hone, and ran it through the hole the pad rides it... Get it smooth and it should work better for you.... Another thing we did was not use regular grease... I use lithium grease or use petroleum grease...

you can try to run it without the o ring too, but would require frequent cleaning to keep the dirt out.
