Need help with leaks and stuff

ok so today i put my la sleeve bbk on (finally) and i give it a leakdown test and my crank case drain tube has air coming out like alot. And i go to give it a compression test and its real hard to kick fast and makes a poping noise but the exhaust isnt on so that maybe why. Also look what i just bought on craigslist for $100 heres a link TECH2FRM100, Torque Wrench, Electronic, TECHWRENCH, Flex Ratchet, 5 to 100 ft. lbs., 3/8" drive I know what your thinking who would sell that for $100 well it was this little kid (12) who got it from his grandad when he died and its in great shape ill post pics tomarrow I:I

you have a crank seal leaking or a leak between the cases. time to pull the clutch cover off to do more investigation

would that explain the popping

dont know about the popping but the air leak is definatly on the crank clutch side

Popping might be normal without a pipe, you wouldn't normally hear something like that. Hard to kick means you have compression, thats a good thing.

My right crank seal was bad when I had that problem. Do yourself a favor and do the left too. Matter of fact if I were putting together a new BBK I would replace every seal I could reach.
