The cylinder where the head studs screw into the cylinder the threads have stripped and there's only a wee catch but it doesent hold the stud keeps going round when you try to tighting the nut on it, so would jb weld hold it in if I used some of that ?? Need it up and running for wednesday :-/

Is the stud spinning in the cylinder? Will need heli coil, timesert, or cr stud. Unless you can do one of the mentioned repairs by wed, you're not riding, sorry.

BTW, IF you try riding without proper repair, it may cost a LOT more $$$$$$$$$$ to fix collateral damage, your choice.

A helicoil kit will be your best bet. A kit should be easy enough to find, even across the pond, at a local auto parts house. Im not 100% sure on the size, but somebody else should chime in with it in a little while. Helicoils, when done properly, are a permanent repair. Not a patch.

I don't even have a clue how this happened but when I first got it air was leaking from in round the gasket in there now I've only really found the problem so are you's saying jb weld will not work with this, i went to a store and got it yesterday and the guy said once this hardens there's no going back it will be in there for good, and I was told to heat it with a heat gun when its in there so it will harden up like brick hard so I put some on tonight and heated it then I left it there to the morning and ill check and if its no good was thinking about getting the hole filled up and drilled and then tap and die in it but would this work ?

Whoops I just realized I gave you some bad info. It is actually a m8x1.25 heli-coil that you will need (make sure to verify this by threading your stud in to the insert before you install it) JB weld is great for emergency repairs like repairing a cracked case at a campground but I wouldn't risk it on a top end, especially since you have the time to do it right.

Well maybe I shall not use it but this is just my opinion I put some stuff on some bare metal tonight and then got some heat at it and in an instant it was rock hard and I couldn't get it off no matter what I did, but I might tell my cousins I can't get out to saturday and then get it all done properly I never have any lucky lol, was going great for a while aswell there haha
