Hi guys.

I started my total rebuild today by stripping it all apart. The frame has to be powdercoated so its totally stripped down.

However there was one thing i couldnt remove! The rear suspension. I started by removing the lower nut and pulling it off the swingarm. so the swingarm and fram could be seperated. But i simply couldnt release the top nut. Actually there are two nuts.. one i got removed (left side) but the other one was impossible. I used so much force that i am afraid to "round" the edges of the hex bolt.. so i gave up .. But it seems like its a rubberjoint with the bolt in or what? Is it not possible to pull the bolt so i can "release" the top of the suspension from the frame?

Any advice? Or is a special method needed ?

It must just be froze up, i don't remember having any problems with mine when i disassembled it. Try spraying a lubricant on the bolt and letting it sit for a few minutes. If you are worried about the socket slipping use a 6 point socket if you have one, it will grip the bolt better.

I dont understand.. I just looked at an service manuel.. It looks like it should be so simple.. remove nut and the pull the bolt(shaft) ?!

But mine is totally locked? I have tried a hammer and used quite some force?

Am i supposed to screw it out? OR just know the bolt out the goes through top of the shock.

i had the same problem it was a biotch to get mine off but with enough pressure the nut broke loose. you should have a bolt on the left and a nut on the right of it.

you said you got the nut off right? must be froze so just hit the bolt out with a hammer making sure you dont ruin the threads.

Well the thing is that the Blaster is inside at room temperature... So i cant be frozen..

But when i remove the little nut on the left side... can i then punch/pull the long bolt? OR does it have to be screwed/turned out?

Yes ill guess i have to try and use some real force on my next attemp.. i just dident wanted to try and hit it out IF it was supposed to be screwed/turned out...

BUT if i know that its possible.. ill grap a BIG hammer and try againg ..

Sorry for the confusion. I couldn't remember if that bolt was threaded on the mount and i'm not around my bike to go check. It should come out by hitting it, make sure the shock itself isn't putting pressure against the bolt and holding it in place.
