my friend has a mojave 250 i woop his ass till bout 5th gear and im winding the gears all the way out when im draging him put he pulls on me than passes what kind of gearing should i run dont wanna sacrifice bottom end too much i got stock gearing
 
I'd go 14/38 keep in mind that as a rule of thumb +1 in the front = -3 in the rear and -1 = +3
The mojave 250 has the same motor as a ninja 250 they just changed the cam and carb I know the ninjas dont redline till 14k not to mention its a 2 cylinder so hes going to be able to wind it out, not till 14k but still pretty high so your probably going to have to sacrafice alot of bottom end to get him
on the topend
 
mojaves are slower than snails , i would think a blaster wit h a pipe and no air box lid could take one pretty easy
 
i can i smoke him maby its his gearing? or his size tires? that could do it right? how much horse you think i get from port and polish agressive trail?
 
try one tooth bigger front sprocket for 5mph more topend but you probably dont have enough torque to compensate and the low-midrange accleration will suffer
 
kk i was gonna do the 14/40 gearing and a port and polish this winter and while im at it a vitos superstock +5 hp piston so they say... and new rings and such
 
what would i all need to do to my motor if i wanted to port and polish, would i be better off to do exhaust first? or could i get a pnp with my stock exhaust?
 
get a new exhaust first to help it breathe.. b4 anything else im gonna get header or mabey not it can make it unreliable just the silencer isnt bad though
 
get a new full exhaust first as the stock one is so restrictive and corey i would get a vitos piston the melt so quickly compared to wesico
