iight... so i just put an SST and powercore 2 on along with superstock reeds, dynojet jet, and a k and n with air box vents.... my friend who is putting the stuff on says the quad wont idle.... he fiddled with the idle/air screws and nothing worked... it most likely needs a good carb cleaning right?

Agree with dropping the k&n for a uni. As far as ur issue on the idle. Check under ur seat if ur tors is still hooked up this is where the idle screw is located. As far as the air/fuel screw on the carb. Turn it all the way in don't lock it down tight u just want it to bottom out. Then back it off 1.5 turns. If u don't have a tors u will need to buy a idle kit and put it on ur carb

also make sure u and ur friend do some plug chops to get the jetting dialed in. If u don't know how to do them there us a great guide on this forum detailing how it's done and what to look for when it cones to your plug.

K&n have been known to let small particals in. There is a great post on this forum about it.

or you could just do like i do and hold the gas a little to keep it idling. mine doesnt idle because of the tors top is jacked, but i just keep on the throttle and have no issues.
and until you figur it out stop making new threads and threadjacking others .
if you take some good pictures we can help better

lol.. yeah im gonna take pics when i get the quad back... which should be relatively soon and im gonna look at the filter post to see.. i already bought the k&n and its put in.... so idk bec my parents put me on a budget which i went way over so if i want more money they wont be happy... i might be stuck with a k&n and mabes i can get an outerware

Alot of folks run k&n it's all prefernce tbh. Some of us just prefer uni. Once again just prference

do u still need to do plud chopps if the jet kit that came with the quad had 1 needle and nothing else in it.... because thats pretty much all it was

and if u would.... i ride woods with alot of dirt and mud.... so a k&n wasnt the best choice.. a foam wouldve been better...if so then i think i need to buy the outerwares filter...
