Naked Vitos 240 Cylinder

As luck would have it, I have two Vito’s cylinders in the shop that need to have the sleeves replaced. Once I got the first one cut out, I knew I needed to shoot a video. Pretty cool, check it out.

What's the object/purpose of the sleeve by the secondary transfer being lower than by the main transfer?

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you looking at the boost port?

Might be my terminoligy. Where transfer tunnels start at bottom of cyl. The sleve at front (main) transfer is higer than the rearward (secondary) , it looks about 3/16-1/4 lower in that area.

i noticed that too...

but the sleeve matches the cylinder casting .......

maybe has to do with the boysen/boost ports ???

Had to find images of stock cylinder, they're same way. But not all cylinders have that step of the liner @ transfer. Stock Banshee does, some aftermarket cyls do, some don't.
