made it up to the performance shop on friday and got all the motor work done. runs pretty good but its getting some predetonation so im prolly gonna go back and he;s gonna build another set of heads and reduce the compression a little bit. compression is a little over 200 on each cylinder and that is right at the limit for these briggs blocks. gonna go back in a week or 2 and swap out the heads. took it out for the first time yesterday with a buddy of mine and it rode pretty good. ran 31.5 with 2 peeps and 30 with 3 so its running pretty descent. my friend almost sunk his boat when he hit a stump about a foot out of water. had to dip it out with a 5 gallon bucket...he got lucky he didnt sink.....it was his first time out with his brand new motor, that would have sucked ass to swamp it the first trip out.
Looking at the budlight bucket I can see why lmao haha seriously that boat looks awesomeyou should get like a 2' by 1 1/2' sticker that says boats and ho's man then that would be the best boat in the water. Have you thought of putting a locking gun rack in the boat?
That would be cool putting a detachable stand up metal gun rack twards the front like at the base of the step up like 28 inches tall and have it leaning forward so they dont tip over.That way you dont have to hold it the whole time your navigating the water. Here's the wood version in a cart I use for gun shows where I gotta walk the whole day.

started on my trailer last weekend....just about done, have one more fender to mock up, side guides and tabs to hold all the boards. i have the boards just laying on there right now for the pics. ordered some tires and light boxes from ebay. they should be here this weekend and hopefully i will finish it up.
Looks good. I'd get you a bulldog/ hammer blow hitch though. I am not a fan of the stamped steel ones.
havent updated this in forever, boat is pretty much done now besides the camo. been riding around quite a bit playing in the mud and duck season started last weekend so im getting plenty use out of it. heres a pic from earlier today. ill try and get some more pics of just the boat tomorrow
well i just finished up this sucker yesterday. didnt do anything but hunt from it all season so never made any progress. got the camo and clearcoat done and finished up the hydroturf yesterday. now its time to do some fishing!
Wow, you did an excellent job on that thing. I can't believe how well it turned out. Great job man!
i posted some pics of it on a hunting forum im on and already have a guy wanting me to build him one, might be able to make some side cash building boats!
