My little idea.

That's yet another idea! Just cut out peices the size of a washer with the hole in it for the bolt. You could use them anywhere to kill the vibrations. Engine mounts, handle bars, pegs. Everything.

My seat, plastic, and silencer are all done just like that.
You can buy rubber washers from True Value.
Truth be told there is no way to dampen vibes from say a YZ490 or CR500.
Why? Because it's not a little vibration like an electric toothbrush.
It's a pounding vibe from a heavy piston traveling several inches many times a second.
If you do dampen it there will still be movement which will also cracks pipes, frames, and breaks welds.
A counter balancer is the only way.
Even my 400 squats the rear shock.

yeah the foam is available from hardware stores , really common stuff . WEAR GLOVES , you get it on your skin , its gonna be with you for a LONG time .

I would use a couple strips of duct tape , spray it in and put the tape over the hole and let it sit say 5 minutes and then repeat for the other side . if you had a old grip you could cut it down to just cover the tip of the bar end as well , it would slide on easy . Just need to keep the foam inside the bars , not squish out .

here is what i came up with and it works great.
