If you're decently mechanically inclined you could rebuild the rear shock. Just follow Phragles guide, I used it to rebuild a banshee rear shock for a friend. Theres also a tutorial somewhere in the Bansheehq.com archives. I:I

man, i'd love to have a banshee, i'm basically looking for whatever falls into my lap first, but that looks like a fun project. gonna do much to the suspension?

sh*t!!! blaster forum is turning into banshee forum....hahahaha

if its an 89 it has an upper j arm instead of upper a arm. the hole in the piston is probly caused by detonation. so either the guy used low grade fuel (89 octane) or had some other sort of issue. thats not normal. now, once you get the top end figured out, replace that seal. its goin to cause an air leak, which may hav also lead to a hole in your piston. trust me do it right, do it once. less of a money pit that way.

you got it for free, so what ever you put into it, you'll most likely get out of it. if teh sh*t is donr correctly, they arent money pits. if they arent taken care of properly, any thing is a money pit in that case. if you need any help myself or 370 have a million banshees and can help you in any way.

the engines themselves are easy to work on. 370 has been inside countless banshee engines, from porting to full rebuilds, he knows them inside and out....

Yea I plane on buyin the hole top end rebuild so I get all thegasketd to. I wanna do it right the first time. Yes it does have the upper j arms. I use to own a 89banshee when I was 16 an I never had a problem for 2 years b4 my friend ass packed me an snapped my frame in half an broke the case in 3 pieces so I'm hoping it turns out to ba good freebie.

I know I'd love to get the jugs ported for trail riding an bore matched but gotta get money up first
I need to get rid of some of my other stuff first. Like my pit bike. If I could sell that then I could get somemoney to at least bore match an new topend.

I read in another post that you are going to take some parts off a Banshee you got for free and put them on your blaster then part the rest. Doesnt happen to be this banshee does it? It doesnt look like theres much wrong with it....

yea it just needs a top end but right now im stuck in a hardship. i have no money an i might have to move and so im kinda stuck. i would rather just try an get money from doin side work so i can get her running. i havent drove a shee since i was 16. so mad.
