did you cut the frame to fit the exhaust? :-/ I would of recommended you done the opposite and cut the exhaust to fit.

in case anyone is confused heres the pictures 8-|

it was pre cut when i got it so im going to replace the cut outs and the left side was welded back anthe welds were horid. and thx for posting the pix for me in not much for comps

the biggest problems with hybrid swaps are getting a pipe to work, cutting and refabbing pipes to fit the frame sometimes don't yeild as much power as a built blaster motor, or end up with a very peaky power band

so if i were to do one, i would use a pipe made for that particular motor and fab a frame/supports around that pipe to get max power

im with awk dont mess with the pipe. if i did one of these id leave the pipe how its made for the motor and change the frame. if you sleeve the tubing its gonna be as strong as or stronger than the cheap steel yamaha used

ps....the vin number is on the frame under the shifter

i agree dont hack up the pipe, you can easily mod the frame to fit the pipe. 240ice done his frame pretty close to mine except i took my bars down farther to fit a larger radiator (yfz450).

considering i got this for nothing ill play arounnd with it. im already considering a difrent swap and i have a spair pipe if i dount like how this one turns out.

ok so ben workinng on this for a while now lol and have all welds done mounts done frame done just need to fine tune the pipe placement and gather a few parts and ill bbe geting close. more picks to come soon . i also never did finnd any vin on the frame. any thing you all recomend i look at befor i paint like weak points or mods that will be helpful laiter down the road? i know there was a prob with welds breaking but am un sure of what welds precicely. any direction would be great. i canty wait to get on this thing. also got an offer for an 1100cc motor for a custom build and would like sugjestion on a frame to drop it in.

Holy crap your back! Pictures are needed this time man :D

picks should be later today tank will be here today as well maby shox aswell am dying to get the rads mounted but cant do that tell i get the tank and shox lol. everry thing is primed aswell. also have custom bar asembly on its way cant wait to see it.

ok so a lil slow on the picks bit they are coming. im also wondering if there is a way to tell if a motor is bored out wit out disasembly. i was told that the 250 i have is 300+ but i have not verrified.

Don't know if it's to late but there is a sticky with frame gusset placement. I would be sceptical of a 250 being a 300, more likely a 250 +.050 bore = 300 Hillbilly retard math, LOL
