ok..in light of everybody tossing random answers like some kind of magic 8 ball.. please answer the following questions...

Is the filter foam, like sponge?

what size tires did you have on the back before and what size do you have now?

What gearing do you have now?

what deoes your spark plug look like?

stock 14 40 gonna get 13 38

first, 13/40 is stock, and if you have 14/40 now and go to 13/38 you're going to change almost nothing.

simple math time!!!!!!!!!!!

40/13=3.076 which is stock.....
so if you have the 14/40 you're saying right now

40/14=2.857

38/13=2.923

that change of about .07 in the gear ratio is pretty negligible.

now if you put that 38 rear sprocket with the 14t front
38/14=2.714
this should make a difference, you can make even more difference going to a 15t front sprocket

the lower the number when you divide the rear sprocket by the front sprocket, the more top speed you will have, at the cost of some low end.

ditch the K&N

get a uni or no toil FOAM filter

those k&n filters are just a coffee filter(white paper you put in coffee maker) with metal mesh around it

dude you just blinded me with science :o lol, ill say it in dumb- big sprocket driving small = more power less speed
small sprocket driveing big= more pow pow less zoom haha B)
