ever since i got new wheels and tires its real slow i know that smaller tires will make them slower but wat can i do to make it faster. today wen we went riding my dad was going about 65 and i was topping out trying ot keep up with him wen i get going my blasty acts like it has rev limitor and i know it doesent any thing that could be making it do this?

i hope when you say it is acting like it has a rev limiter, your not just driving around WOT. but yes tires make quite a difference. change your front gear to a 14 and if its still bad get a 38 for the rear. stock is 13/40.

yea wen i get going in sixth it acts like it has a rev limitor

top of 6th or anything other than? could be a jetting issue. are you setup right? and still change the gearing it will help the top end speed.

i have no idea wat size jets mine are ive never torn down the carb to look and i am goona change the gearing could it be the airfilter is dirty? cause i think it did this once and it was my airfilter after we cleaned it it was running like a champ

is it jetted for that pipe? if not ur prob runnin lean and burnn up the top end

yea it was the only pipe he had on it and it just started doing that and ive had blasty since last november so dont u think that the top end would have already been burnt out?

^^^ prob not the injector they usually go bad and not give it any oil so it will pretty much just blow if the injector went bad

you just put smaller tires on, so assuming it had 21's on it before (stock) you went from....

64.94 inches of movement per revolution of the rear tire

to

56.52 inches of movement per revolution of the rear tire

too lazy to do the actual calculations, but this will drop your top speed quite a bit, definitely put the 14t front sprocket on it at the very least.

so all this posting and you never even checked the same thing that caused this last time, and when was the last time you even saw your filter???

I saw the filter last wen I washed by quad I washed the filter that was about 1 week ago and brandoz I didn't have stockers I had 22s on the front and 20s on the back but I didn't pick any of this stuff out it was on there web I got it

dude, get a 14th rear sprocket and rejet the carb. its not that hard. it takes all of 10 minutes! also, clean your air filter.

throw in a 290 main jet. and then see how it runs.

not many people have any clue what jetting is. (AKA the previous owner)

i'm just giving you the mathematical reason as to why you're going slower now with the smaller tires I:I you can do the math with the 20's as well...

so did you check your filter yet?
