my airbox lid

Wrong. Its possible to choke an engine, even when jetted correctly. The CLEANER the air, the better it will run. Also, with that lid, it will shed the minimal amounts of water that make it to the box. rather than it just laying in the box and splashing back onto the filter.

i was running one of the outerware ones. the one you take the lid off and put velcro on the airbox. so i took it off because it would not stay down and made the lid cover.

the outterwears are GREAT!! i ran one on my k&n and never had to clean my filter. just the outerwears. they also repel water. im going to run one on my air box, and one on my filter. keep the air box nice and clean as well. good job. how did you do it?

thanks guys. i took a small piece of metal and cut the shape and then cut a hole in the airbox. then i cut a hole in the outerware to match the shape and put some sealant on the back of the metal, painted it, and bolted it up.
