what color is you spark plug? or is that only a 2 stroke thing. try putting your airbox lid on and see what happens.

my 200x wil shoot flames when its cold, BUT only on cold start up and rev, and it didnt do it with the stock muffler, the reason your seeing flames is no spark arrestor.. and your air filter looks dirty as sh*t,... my guess is no spark arrestor and a bit to much fuel..

dont let dnr see flames shootin out on the trails or your riding will end real quick along with a fine

is the silencer freshly packed? i know with a fresh packed silencer on my drz it will shoot flames but not really like that

if your revering to the lopey idle, thats normal.. every yfz iv herd has alopey sumbly idle like a cammed motor
