motor ticking...

Cant tell where its coming from. Would the bottom tick if it had a bad bearing or is it usually the top end that ticks? i can only hear it at idle but it just started so im sure something has gone wrong. thanks

"ticking" could be a lot of things, you're gonna need to narrow it down a little more, or just pull your top end and check it out, if it's not the top it's the bottom right?! what are you out, a couple of gaskets and then you know whats up

Thats what im afraid of... how much does it usually to get the lower end done? im pretty sure thats where its coming from. I cant get a video of it dont have a cam so i think ill wait till it gets a little worse then take the top end off to confirm what it is

could also be an undersize/excessively worn piston

what ever you do dont wait till it gets worse, thats when serious problems happen and if you can it early it will save you money.

there was a tread a while back I think it was soopernoober that had a ticking noise that was the balancer gear rivets were going bad. don't wait til it gets worse. that tic is a time bomb. wouldn't you rather cut the blue wire now instead of cleaning up the aftermath
