Moose throttle cable issue

The '98 I bought recently has a Moose throttle cable and cap installed. Same thing as in this thread... http://www.blasterforum.com/threads/aftermarket-carburetor-cap-and-idle-screw-install.22174/ .
Anyway, I fear the cable may be stretched out. The adjuster at the throttle lever is almost all the way out, and the previous owner put some kind of spacer to pull the stainless cover away to tighten it further. Am I screwed and need to purchase a new $65 moose cable/cap kit, or does someone have another idea?

Could it be as simply as rerouting the cable?

pics of throttle and carb hookups ?

the cable should cross over from throttle to clutch lever side in front of the steering stem, then back over top of the frame cross rail under the tank and down to the carb

he probably has tried both
i never had one but from the images it almost looks like there is
3 adjustments??
he was talking about stainless cover im assuming the cap/top cover:)
anything is possible on here:D

That's how mine is. It has the two adjustments.
Excellent. Thanks guys! I have the quad almost completely disassembled ATM. When I'm ready, I'll be sure to route it that way, and check out how the cable fully works and adjusts. As far as I can tell, it's the stock carb with the blue, Moose cap and cable.

Sure enough, there are three adjustment on this setup, and the two at carb were way off. Now I have full throttle adjustment, and works like it should. Thanks guys!!
