Hey guys I did a search on this carb with the blaster forum and came up with nothing. I was wondering if anyone has used the TM33 carb and where to start as far as jetting it properly. I have not measured the ID of the carb on the engine side but the OD is 40mm. I got the carb for free so Im really hoping it will be useful and give me some gains in performance. Thanks for all the input in advance!

Yeah The carb is free so thats a step in the right direction.. I have a fmf pipe filter with open box vf3 reeds, oil block off, timing mod. I will be getting a trail port and head redesign from ken. I was thinking I would only have to buy the carb manifold boot and some type of bolt on filter or box setup. would it benefit me more to buy a oko carb?

There's nothing wrong with the TM, I've got the 34 and no problems. Up until now I've had nothing but Keihens and I have no complaints with the Mikuni.

As for jetting, open it up and clean it first. While you are in there take note of what size the jets are, pilot and main at least. Then slap it on and go from there. It will likely be close enough that you can base tuning on what you find.

Thanks for all the info guys. I am sure I can figure out the tuning aspect. I was just wondering abut a good starting point. WHat are you guys running for an air box or just a clamp on filter ?

ken oconnor runs the tm carbs, and swears by them, he'll be able to help you with jetting when you get the porting done, no need for it till then though

HEy guys I just pulled the carb out to run some measurements on it. It seems that it is a 36MM carb. The model does say T34 but it definately measures 36MM. If it is this size should i just sell it or maybe trade it since I am only going to have a port/polish and head redesign?
