i am making a hybrid blaster with a 91 ninja 500 motor in memory of my good friend that died a cupel days ago. the motor it self needs wiring and a valve cover. also a custom pipe will have to be made because i dont want the pipe running down along the bottom of the quad. any suggestions/hints/tips will be greatly appreciated. trying to go pick up the motor and everything with it today(5/1/11).

sorry to hear about your loss man. I have lost several good close friends recently and it is never easy... but what better way to remember then to build something fun for them.

Check my thread i just posted on my ninja 250 swap. It is basically the same engine (only the 500 is ever so slightly larger) but might give you some ideas as to what it takes and also if you have any better ideas for me im alsways open. colaboration is always good..

Anyway, RIP to your fallen friend. hang in there. your past the tough part.

Nice.

That's the coolant cap/overflow and thermostat housing. The temp sensor is in there too. The cap has to be the highest point in the coolant system so it can bleed off air. Most of the time they build it right into the top of the radiator but i'm guessing the radiator was kept low and under the plastics on the bike.

Sorry to hear about the friend. I'm going through a rough time too. But don't make me have to build a memorial Blaster for you because you couldn't stay on this thing. lol

Lol I will not be too crazy. Decided for it to be a low Riding drag quad. It's going to be bad ass. I'm not giving out too many details yet so you all will have to stay tuned to find out. 79xs I will have better pics for you as soon as I can get on my computer. I'm on my iPod now

no it looks clean, im just sayin ur going to have to reinforce the frame for the weight of the motor, ur just going to have ur hands full with the fabbing
