Hi guys I currently run Shell Advantage Racing M, at 25:1, which I am happy with, but I am toying , toying mind you with switching to Maxima Castor 927. What are your thoughts, the good and the bad.
Thanks. The Blaster is only used for Moto Cross.

First off, you are running it way to rich. 32:1 is enough (4oz/gallon), what are your mods? Its a good oil for PV motors, but not for sure on the air cooled non PV motors. I would run Spectro or HP2, those are the best your gonna have, and arent very expensive.

AWWWWW jeaz were really gonna start an oil war with this topic(Huff)............ I prefer to use amsoil dominator it's pretty good pretty much the best premium stuff you can buy. It's a lot cheaper than maxima like 10 bucks a quart and you can get the same results at 32:1 and save money by useing less oil. Plus less rebuilds in the future cause it practly dosent wear your clyinder walls it's that good burns real clean to ...............................................................................................................................wish peope would get wise

I am not looking at starting an oil war, I am simply asking for feedback from those people that have used Maxima Castor 927. I am satisfied with the oil I am using, I was wondering if 927 is as good or better than it.
I should love to hear about the good , the bad, and the ugly to help me make up my mind if I should switch oils.
I am in Australia and getting some of the oils you guys are recommending is not an option.
The import freight is way too much.

927 is a pretty good oil,I've rebuild engines mostly cr125 and cr250's and have tried this oil and I'd say it did a pretty good job,but from what I've personally seen that works the best is redline it's expensive but it does work the best,I tore down a cr125 that was build with redline and ran redline it's entire race season and it looked perfect barely even any carbon at all, hell even my dad couldn't believe it and he uses amsoil, now don't get me wrong I've only used amsoil a couple of times so I'm not for sure how great it is,but I prefer full synthetic oil don't ask why it's just my 2cents lol.

Also if your going to run a blend of synthetic and caster go with klotz technaplate,it's the best blended type oil on the market in my opinion.

Dident mean to but the topic has been coverd for us americans assumed you were amereican so many times. But getting amsoil in your country is like getting cator in ours it's expensive when available. Like 16 bucks a quart or 20 OZ or so IDk I havent checked in a while. Just a tired subject for me was all.... BTW it's very good stuff buy it in bulk if your getting a deal thats my advice along with going to 32:1 It i'll save you money and will protect your engine just as well as 25:1 cause anything higher than 32:1 dosent do anything worth while to your engine.
