well we've all seen threads on makin the blaster quieter how about makin it a lil louder with out removing all the packing.just fired up my blaster without the silencer and me likes lol.but its just a lil bit too loud and i dont want to start fires(trail riding)

iv took the spark arrester off (end cap) and i lost some low end and top, sounds a lil better though. packing, taking it out will loose some back pressure, not a very good thing for a motor, i would just find a used silencer if i was you

On my son's Banshee I packed the FMF cans with stainless steel scrubber pads. Very, very coarse material. Got six of them into each can, sounds GREAT !! Nice tone without being "crackly" , plus being stainless I should almost never have to repack. Don't know how it would sound on Blasturd, might try it on the Vitos can even tho it's almost new. I:I

i had an idea. i noticed on my blaster that alot of noise is coming from the air box. i want to make a custom snorkle out of PVC pipe. not sure how well its gonna work, but its worth a shot. if it dont i will just take some of the packing out of the pipe.

Screw it! Just run it w/o a header or silencer... Lmao jk. I like the idea of cutting the end cap off. I'd imagine that would be a lot louder and you still sorta have that stock look.

Or like stated above buy a used OEM pipe for $10-$20 and then you can hack away at that one, if you don't like the results just go back to your first pipe. Or maybe you can cut a few inches off the silencer (where it mounts to header) so it's shorter and maybe it will make it louder. Unless there's a way you can shorten the entire system w/o damaging the motor or sacrificing too much power...

Pack them in there real tight so that there is less air between them, more noise should then be produces due to lack of baffling, or am I talking out of my exhaust pipe.

Get some roof flashing trim. Take the silencer apart and cut a piece of the metal to wrap around the pipe section. You can use hose clamps to secure it but wrapping it with bailing wire works best because you will want to repackage it so you won't have a rattle from the tin. This basically turns it into a strait pipe. This is much better then just running without packing because it doesn't disrupt the flow by hitting the large chamber of a hollow silencer body then trying to flow out the smaller and cap.

This is the right direction except id just replace the entire baffled tube with a straight peice of pipe.

The silencer will literally be for looks but it should be quite a bit louder.Kinda pointless though unless youre setting out to piss off the neighbors or insure that your riding area gets shut down due to the noise complaints.

I repacked mine with Borla SS packing material, it has quiet a different sound. I've got enough left to do a couple more, if someone wants to try it I can send them what I have left.
