A bit sad when something does not get resolved, especially when you didn't get to hear from the accused.
Kind of goes against American justice, doesn't it?
That is why I feel the ban is inappropriate.
Here in Canada, I am not allowed to harass someone at their work to collect money.
It is considered "endangering their livelihood". Totally wrong.
I sold a 76 Bronco via the internet once.
Via email, lady 70 miles away asked me to take all sorts of photos of it.
I work 12 hr shifts, it was dark by the time I got off work and checked my mail.
She had sent a couple emails in the meantime asking why I was delaying.
I explained my work schedule and promptly took many pictures in the morning, before work.
I received a half dozen emails the next day after work with more photo requests and questioning why I was not responding.
To make a long story short, she sent the money, arranged a pickup time of 4pm then send an email at 11am changing the pickup time to noon and accused me of avoiding her again because I was not at home when the truck arrived. She read me back my "long history of avoiding response" and threatened to involve the police. I called the tow driver she had hired and he refused to come back. He said she sounded like a crazy lady and he didn't want to be involved.
I sent her money back.
Now, if you only heard her side of the story, what would you think of me?
