yeah a ban is fine with me. now he has decided to contact me saying his lawyer will be calling me for putting out his work number. I really dont' see how that could be an issue when his work number is public record. I found it on a website

ohh shiz! now ur screwed! lol
legally i think ur not allowed to post it ANYWHERE
it was on HIS website, so he can post it.
but im no lawyer....

good luck man! rip him a new one if ya have to....

so now he's a huffer and a bluffer, he can't do diddly squat about any of it.

He is a parts salesman at a heavy duty truck dealer in his area.

His "work number" is the main parts/service number posted on the Volvo dealers website. Actually, Colby's name is not associated with the dealership at all (on the internet). It was total happenstance it was the correct place he worked at.

A bit sad when something does not get resolved, especially when you didn't get to hear from the accused.
Kind of goes against American justice, doesn't it?
That is why I feel the ban is inappropriate.

Here in Canada, I am not allowed to harass someone at their work to collect money.
It is considered "endangering their livelihood". Totally wrong.

I sold a 76 Bronco via the internet once.
Via email, lady 70 miles away asked me to take all sorts of photos of it.
I work 12 hr shifts, it was dark by the time I got off work and checked my mail.
She had sent a couple emails in the meantime asking why I was delaying.
I explained my work schedule and promptly took many pictures in the morning, before work.
I received a half dozen emails the next day after work with more photo requests and questioning why I was not responding.
To make a long story short, she sent the money, arranged a pickup time of 4pm then send an email at 11am changing the pickup time to noon and accused me of avoiding her again because I was not at home when the truck arrived. She read me back my "long history of avoiding response" and threatened to involve the police. I called the tow driver she had hired and he refused to come back. He said she sounded like a crazy lady and he didn't want to be involved.

I sent her money back.

Now, if you only heard her side of the story, what would you think of me?

and yes if i was a complete stranger to all these guys on here i could agree with you. I have done buisness with tons of members on this site and you can ask any of them what kind of guy i am. i only expect what i pay for and in a somewhat timely manner. since all of this Chutzell has contacted me by text and i tried to ask him why he did not complete the work as verbally contracted and he had no reply to me. All he would say is i would never see a dime from him and he completed the work properly. Then he went to add that I had no idea what i was looking at and also that civic was not capable of properly measuring a cylinder. you can clearly see the ports are not champfered in my pictures, and i believe that to be bc he purposely honed the cylinder beyond specs bc he was mad about this thread. I wish i had pictures of the work he has done for other members to compair to the ones i posted here. They are nothing alike. Oh wait i do. this is some of the work he did on mmajays banshee. now do you think my pics and these pics look like the person took the same type of care?

There were 2 months for him to respond. I even tried to contact him during that time and he wouldn't reply to anyone.

Then he went to add that I had no idea what i was looking at and also that civic was not capable of properly measuring a cylinder.

I have a Mitutoyo 50-75mm micrometer and a dyer bore gauge in .0005" graduations. The final bore size on that cylinder (as received condition) was 67.12mm provided with a 67mm piston (measures 66.95mm RIGHT on size). That's .007" difference and it's only supposed to be .002". It was NOT runable like that.

Also, after questioning Colby after he gave me the tracking number his only reply was "F*ck U lol"
