lost power?

i have a 94 blaster with a 240 big bore, 34 mm mikuni carb and a uni air filter. this should make it sh*t and git pretty good right? to me it seems kind of doggish and it is burning a lot of fuel and it is not getting much acceleration from first to third and not much top speed when im in 6th it seems to excelarte better with half throttle than when i hold it wide open. any ideas

the guy i bought it from said it was jetted properly. its got a dg exhaust but might as well be stock right

What exhaust do you have and is the airfilter right on the carb or are you running a volocity tube. Also what jetts are you running?

air filter is right on the carb but i am thinkin about puttin the stock one back on so i can ride on muddy trails and im not sure about the jetts. what does a volocity tube do
