My blaster runs good now! But when I hit the gas during heat cycles the rev took longer to come down then usual and when I turn the bars the quad revs some and revs on its own some times ittl be a small rev medium or big rev .....

Help?!?!?

yes, loosen the adjustment at the throttle lever on the bars, should be a little movement of the thumb lever before it starts pulling the cable

If the revs are hanging and/or taking a while to come down, you may have an air leak.

Did you leak test after rebuild?

right after start, it gos full throttle?

ok so after my last post ( how to loosen throttle cable? ) i think i found the problem from when if i turned the bars the revs would go up. now the throttle cable was routed underneath the brake cable and was tight, and so i rerouted the cable for it to be over the brake cable so the cable could move freely and was not tight. so i go to start it and the quad gos full throttle! i wasnt even touching the throttle and i gos full throttle........ please help!!!

if you need me to be more specific just ask

Re: right after start, it gos full throttle?

maybe you pulled it too far foward from the carb ?
it is ty-rapped to the frame under the tank, pulling on the cable housing tightens the cable.
reach under by the carb and pull it back a little.
did you loosen the barrel adjuster at the throtle ?

btw, i'm merging this thread with your other thread, this still has to do with your throttle cable, so it should be a continuation of that thread.
1 thread per topic, or fix it session.

At this point take off the air box boot and or the carb and watch what the slide does when you apply throttle with it not running. Once you get that set visually then put it back together and give it a whirl and report back.

You NEED to airleak test it.... You might have a leak even if its not the thing affecting your idle....

I had one and was too lazy to fix it, thats mostly the reason mine blew up... $450 later and i finally decided to do a GOOD leak test, and $20 for the seals...
