I decided to finally adjust my idle today, grabbed the TORS unit to adjust it and it was loose from the carb:-/ Is it supposed to be this way? Just something in the back of my mind wondering if it was right.

no its not supposed to be loose. can you just screw it on tight again? seems like if its loose it could be suckin air which could be real bad.
you cant just take it off till you have a tors removal kit, i have a vito's, but there are others too, but for now you need to reach in from the side and tighten down the big ring that connects it to the carb, just tighten it down really good, you should be able to feel when it hits the rubber gasket, then turn it a little more, to seal off the air gettin in, and yes suckin air there is bad, could cause you to run lean
The unit is tight on the carb, the point where it is loose is about an inch up from the carb. Guess its time for the removal kit.
Ok got her all tightened up and will see how she idles tomorrow. Would say a 28 - 30mm carb really do anything good for a completely stock engine?
