I can't remember if i posted this seeing how i haven't been on in awhile but here's the problem....Whenever it sits and i go to start it, it pours gas out of the headpipe connecting to the head which is usually hard to kick over. But than it'll start up once however much got in is out.yes i shut my gas off! A guy at larson cycle said he doesn't know but it could be that my reeds aren't closing? any help would be great!

Your float needle has a burr under it and your shutoff valve isn't shutting off. If the guy at the MC dealer told you that bad reeds are causing gas to run out of your pipe, you need to run away from that dealer. He's an idiot... the reeds don't generate gasoline....

Purchase a carburetor rebuild kit and a petcock rebuild kit. You'll be good to go!

yep two things are wrong
#1 your overflow drain is plugged up
#2 your floats are sticking. With the overflow plugged up the fuel has no where to go but into the engine until it fills the crank case.

some aftermarket carbs dont have a drian pipe/tube on the bowl ( my GSX750F is one of these) if thats the case look around for a bowl that will fit with one.

Ha thanx but the carb that's on it is foreign pretty sure cause it doesn't say mikuni or keihn so ill have to check. And howcome when i changed the main jet from waaaay too rich to perfect that on topend in 5th/6th gear it cuts out before it should than catches and cuts out again...etc. (note it also did that with being way to rich which is understandable, it's just snappier now). I cleaned the carb and made sure no jets were plugged n nothing stuck?

i had that problem when i first got my blaster. i took my exhaust off and poured about 8 ounces of gas out. no wonder it wouldnt run. but i rebuilt my carb and adjusted my float and it fixed my problem. rebuild kits are cheap.
