It looks like a hoot to ride in! Sounds like it's got grunt and then it just goes straight to screaming!

I would like to point out (as it is my actual "business" and I don't get to throw dynamometer related knowledge out there a lot around here! I:I) that 694 foot pounds at 7200 rpm does not equal 720 horsepower.

If he has 694 ft lbs at 7200 rpm, he has approximately 924 horsepower. While I have no doubt at all that a 540ci on the bottle can see 924 hp, just pointing out that the math involved doesn't add up.

I love the bungee cord for the hatch lid "hold down device". LOL What happened to the original latch mechanism in the back of the car? Fuel cell and/or pump take up that space? It looks quite "busy" back there in that little area behind the original hump in the back.

u know its funny u posted this, my neighbor has a blown 383 camaro that he has had since he bought it new in 87, and built it himself, billy's is a little bit on the "crazier side though, that is one bad ass ride he has, she sounds nasty with that 540 in it

I spoke to Bill today about his claim of 694 FT/lbs of torque @ 7200 RPM. He told me it’s actually 694 @ 5800. Sorry Awk, if they offer, I’m getting in.
