Did the oil block off kit on mine, and now stupid me isn't sure where the kick starter spring goes in the case. If anybody has any pics, or anything would be great so I can put this thing back together.

Thanks
Austin

theres a little hole the case that it goes in...its kinda tricky if you havent done it before...

I left the spring and kickstart on the side case the first time I tried doing that.... It didnt work like that. Getting the spring in isnt that hard once you figure out which way to turn the spring to recoil it... if you screwed it up like I did

1 is where the round clip sits

2 is the kicker gear stop....(the flat metal part)

3 is where the spring sits in

Hey sorry but one more question. When I pulled the case the spring and kickstarter shaft kinda fell out, anyway I thought I had everything correct and put it back together, and then I found a kinda thick(1/16"-1/8") brass/copper washer up against the tire after I was done.

So I'm guessing I dropped it out of the case, but I don't know where it would go.
Please help.

Thread revival..............I already registered but its been so long since I've been on here that I forgot the information....new account.

I've read thru "freeks" pics and thread about this kick starter spring but I've taken my son's blaster clutch cover off about 4 times to make sure that the spring is still seated in that little hole and it always is. It still won't return!! I can start it but when I pull the kick starter back to original position it moves freely up and all the way down to the peg and then the bike dies. It is also making a different sound, higher pitch like somethings wrong.

I replaced the clutch, springs and plates and oil w/ 10W40 atv/wet clutch oil, valvoline.

I only wound the starter spring about a 1/2 - 3/4 full turn, clockwise. Should I wind it more? There feels like a good amount of tension on it!

Any help would be great...we are heading to Glamis for Presidents day from Utah and want to make sure his bike runs well!

Thanks in advance!!!

i was also wondering if its okay that the spring is kinda cocked, or crooked when it gets twisted to align into the hole on the crankcase

i think it's alright to have the spring cocked a little as long as it doesn't pop out! Does yours return on it's own?

If so, how many revolutions did you turn it before you stuck it in that hole?

ya, i only wrapped it 1/2 turn as well and checked 4 times to make sure it was installed correctly and the spring was still in the hole on both ends! Starting to upset me...lol
