With out excess details, don't know if spring was broke when I put clutch in a year ago, BIIRC, the kicker didn't return on very first kick. My question is if the end of spring is small enough to pass through hole between clutch area and trans. Have pulled clutch cover for oil pump block off, and only thought I didn't get kicker right, so I never bothered before because it started good.
I have looked for it, even used a magnet, isn't in drain oil. Drained with cover and tipped up towards side.
BTW, clutch was all blown when my son got the Blaster cheep, $100. So I have no knowledge if it was broke before

like you think the end broke off? the kicker spring is a big ass spring I:I

if you dont get the kicker spring in the hole its suppose to be in, you might have a problem like that. did you put the end of the spring in the hole on the clutch cover?

there a biotch to get in right it took me about 30 mins to figure it out if you have a clymers it helps they have a diagram on how it goes in it like wraps around then goes into the hole
