Kick start aint springing back up!

I just put a brand new cylinder on my blaster and replaced the gaskets.After putting it all back together,the kick wouldnt spring back up.its starts and runs fine but the kick start thing gets alittle annoying after having to keep picking it up.Anybody have anyidea of what it could be?

Either the spring broke or it's not in the notch correctly

kicker return spring inside the clutch cover either broke or came out of retaining grooves.
i'd suggest fix it asap, if broken, pieces flopping around down in gears can lead to catastrophy

As Larry said be sure the white collar is aligned in the groove.
