I was doing my hydro conversion today and when i was going to mount the caliper there is a gap between the spindle bracket and caliper. Im using raptor 660 spindles and calipers.

Does anyone know why there would be a gap? I cant figure it out.

Thanks

so, the title is " ken oconner spindles"
yet below you say you're using rappy 660 spindles and calipers ?
which is it ? oconnor or rappy spindles ?

i had a situation like that doing my buddies hydro conversion, although we were using the old norman420 spindles, before ken got them, yfz hubs/discs would not go onto the spindle completely, seems the I.D. of the hub bearing is a smaller diameter than the bushing norman and ken use on the hydro conversion spindles.

they are made to accept a banshee or raptor(?) hub.
is it possible those are yfz hubs and not rappy ?
i do believe that all the O.D.'s of the bearings are the same, and a switch to a banshee inner bearing with the larger I.D. may solve your problem ?
have a look to see if the bearing is infact seating completely onto the bushing ?

btw...the way norman420 made these, a washer as a spacer at that gap you show was required, i've done 3 sets.
i believe ken has eliminated the need for that washer by spacing his bracket differently than norman did ?
but neither had the large gap you show.

I meant raptor hubs* I may order banshee bearings and try that otherwise I may just cut a spacer to fill the gap, but id rather not do that.

i didn't like how the hub sat with the inner bearing not seated on the bushing, and felt it was unsafe,
we got banshee hubs and swapped them out.
the banshee bearings may work ?
i have new blaster bearings here, and the yfz hubs still, i could measure the OD.'s for ya to see if they are indeed the same ?
