keihin pwk 38mm

with the mods that you are planning it will be fine but it will be a little big. if it was an air stryker version of the carb it would be better. a stroker 240 will be able to use it but i would think it would be better with a more aggressive port job like a dune port that is very strong in the mid-range as that big of a carb on a blaster looses some lowend power. if i remember correctly from posts that i have read on here and other forums you will most likely be in the 140-160 main range and you will have to adjust the pilot and needle clip positions. i would ask the engine builder for guidelines as they will better know the needs of your engine than we will. just remeber to be patient when jetting and start from the bottom up! also there is a link in my signature to a good article on jetting.

I saw that mikuni´s jets go up to numbers like 320, but the keihin just found up to 200.

thats because they size there jetting differently.. and the sizes are split differently as well

where mikunis run in multiples of 10 like 200-210-220-230-240 and so on...

kiehns are different.. 150-152-155-158-160

they also base those sizes off of different criteria.. i'll find the article i'm speaking of and copy and paste it here.

well if you decide you dont want that carb, let me know....i need that carb.....also, i have 2 34mm flat slides..thewy will work better for you..esp with a little modding

Mikuni does theirs by a flow rated system Keihin does theirs by actual sizes in mm a 150 Keihin is 1.50mm dia. hole

if you can get your hands on a 34mm pj or any kehin those are really good carbs...but i really want/need that 38 for my LT250r.....its ported and piped, and needs more air..its nasty!!! hahaha hopefully..
