If you have a stock pipe, low/mid pipe or a Toomey B1 the 26mm stock carb is really all you need.

If you have a right bend mid/ high pipe the 35 mm is the way to yto go.

Good call . The factory spent a million dollars to find out what stock pipe design gives the best overall performance, maybe not the most bottom or the highest revs or the hardest hitting mids

Actually, I will argue that.
The factory has a lot of goals when it designed a pipe.
Quiet, durable, fits well, and in the case of the Blaster, does not over-power a novice rider or allow for over-rev of the engine. And let's not forget cost, it has to come in on budget.
