So I got an oil injection block off kit from rocky mountain and I was just wondering, when you put it on, it is 20:1, then you can change it to 32:1, right? And, when you change to 32:1, do you have to change the jet? Thanks

If you add oil to the fuel you will lean out the air fuel mixture.

I would put in a #240 - #250 main jet, depending on your elevation, temperature and then plug chop to confirm.

As an example changing from 32:1 to 25:1 needs one size bigger main.

The oil injection adds oil directly into the air stream in the carby.

Adding oil to the gas changes the amount of fuel that passes through the jets, because oil takes its place.

You will run lean if you do not increase your jet size.

:o I never changed mine... :-/ ignore me then sorry for the wrong advise!

Look at this way.

Fill a bucket to the brim with liquid, place in a can of beans, what happnes to the liquid.

Of course it will spill over and leave the bucket, the displacement will equal the volume of the can of beans.

Add oil to fuel, same principle applys.

I do believe that one of the problems of frying pistons is because folks have performed the block off without compensating for a leaner mix.
