yeah i wish i did. just thought the gasket was leaking due to me overfilling it. but now i know haha. yeah i will get it torn down tonight and ill let everyone know whats going on. I:II:I
Look at it like this, its like eating something your allergic too and getting sick. Same for a motor, if it dont like the oil your forcing in it, its not gonna like it. Yamalube isnt a bad oil, everyone just thinks its overpriced. Yamaha wouldnt sell oil if no one bought it. I've used Yamalube's 4 stroke oil and is a very nice quality, but is a little on the expensive side. I'm gonna see if using Honda HP2 (blue bottle), would work instead, i like it way better than Yamalube because its cheaper.

Looking at your mods in your sig, I would HIGHLY recommend running bigger main jet. Go to the "Stealership" and buy an OEM main jet. I'd bump it up 2 sizes.....do a plug chop though and make sure it aint lean
Okie Dokie I am confused haha, So i'm I going to buy an OEM main jet or a bigger main jet ? I thought the main jet was a #230 i have a #240 now. there is only 1 jet in the carb right ? and that is the little funny one that screws into the ummm bottom ? the one i have now.
he means get biger main jets theres more than one jet theres the main jet it controls WOT needle jet controls mid and piolt controls idle to 1/4 of throttle i beleve thats how it goes but put pretty roughly do a search on plug chops theres about a million threads on it probley more
Sorry everyone have been really busy. Ok so I finally got it all apart. I did not notice any blueing of the crank nor was there any up/down play on the rod. only side/side but i think this is normal or ok for a quad ? as there will be side/side play on a cars rod.
Also the jug was not damaged at all. So i got new gaskets and put her back togather and she ran like a bag o butt. my plug was shot. black as hell.

No shee, i did not take pics. I should have though. I have to buy a new digi as my cell got stollen soo. Ok have a question. If i get a 270 or 280 jet would that be ok for my mods ? also would i need to change my other needles ? and if so what sizes do you guys recomend ? Also was wonderign what plug everyone runs ? i run a br8es
