This thing has a hot rod crank and rod , and ct 250r cylinder kit that is a very rare cylinder lol it has 250r ports which means it has 6 more ports than a stock blaster cylinder.. lol >>> i am selling a 2000 yamaha blaster MUST SEE VERY NICE!!!!
I don't think he's what I would consider wrong about what he has. I don't know about how many extra ports it's got but some are added in the BBK that uses 250R reeds and reed cage (CR250R, I think). It may be based on the LA Sleeve BBK.I don't know what he has but what he says in the listing could be accurate.
I found some more info the possible CT BBK he is speaking of , taken from this page http://www.ctracing.com/blaster.htm
CT Sonic Blaster Cylinder Kits
The CT Sonic cylinder has proven to be the highest output cylinder available for the Blaster. The cylinder was designed from top to bottom to make big horsepower over a wide power curve. The Sonic cylinder uses Honda CR250 reed cage to maximize flow and output. The cylinder also has a 3 port auxiliary exhaust port design, like nearly every current model 2 stroke MX bike design.
I think it's based from this LA Sleeve BBK http://www.lasleeve.cc/index.cfm?event=product.display&product_ID=2020 If you look close at the cylinder you will notice the reed cage uses 6 bolts instead of the Blaster's 4. It seems that I've read (maybe from SCD) that CT used the LA Sleeve kit but added some ports.
I've never seen a published price on the Sonic kit but if he sent the entire engine to CT to have the +4 crank installed I can see the engine being in the $2500. I can't see $8K unless he bought the quad new and is counting that cost and he over paid on everything as much as the claimed $500 for the powder coating on the frame and pegs. If I was in a Blaster that deep it sure would have the front as wide as the rear. It looks like it's an easy 6 inches wider in the back.
