This is the mods I have
-Vetos power piston kit
-Fmf gold series pipe
With power core2 pipe
-+4 timing advance
-jetted
-uni filter
-oil injection block off
-tors removed
-14 40 gearing
-400ex rear shock
-banshee front shocks
-banshee rear brakes
-+4 swingarm
-banshee wheels with holeshots
-tusk nerfs
-dg front bumper
-tether kill switch

So do you guys think this is a good start to race mx? Also any tips for racing mx would be helpfull I've never done it before

About the best thing you can do, is get your butt out there and practice. I've seen many guys show up with tricked out quads and they couldn't ride them to save there lives. As far as your mods go, you should be fine. When I started racing I had a pipe, axle, front shocks, nerfs, kill switch and different rear tires and that was it.

you can go out there on a 700 and get smashed if they are better riders.
seat time is the only thing that makes you faster.
suspension helps a bit

To get started i would start out with a pipe like the fmf and then a pair of elka's will rely help u.
What i found in mx it is rely not who has the fastest quad it is who can take the jumps and who is the fastest through the whoops and crap. I would Suggest to rely use ur practice moto to really fell out the track & practice practice get as much seat time as possible

Agreed been racing for 3yrs, quit after getting discouraged. Got in a bad accident, used to Ride w/ Steve W. (he's originally from Ellijay,GA), then got into college and now I'm poor and just now getting back into it. I get so sick and tired of people blaming their shortcomings on the quad. Worry more about getting out there and practicing. Learn what the quad is gonna do if you make a certain mistake. O, and don't do what I did, ride above your head and crush both your ankles! Not trying to scare ya, but's prolly 85% rider 15% quad.

I wouldn't say that. If you were racing someone with a complete custom long travel suspened national built Blaster with a stock Blaster. He would have to suck really bad. I will say though I used to enjoy getting holeshots on people with my nearly stock motored 250R. When the gate drops the BS stops!

get all the time you can on the bike and track, even after your first race, keep practicing, it makes a big diffrence in you bodies physical ability to handle too! if you ever notice when you dont ride for awhile then ride once, it makes your body sore as sh*t! you want to avoid that, keep you arms and back strong! keep your self in shape, and stay use to the bike and tracks! and as time goes on, you'll probally find that you'll want a better pipe, and id recommend nerfs as well! hope it helps

all you really need to race is nerfbars and a tether killswitch....

but that sounds like a good start!
