In trouble

My 2002 blaster was running like a top and then i started to let of the clutch and it died. wouldnt run at all so i pull started it and it would run very badly. went home and it had NO fire, but the light would come on when i kicked it. ANY HELP? coil?

ya check the coil, make sure the spark plug cap is on there good too.

another thing, tried a fresh plug yet? and what's the resistance on the cap

stuck my finger in the plug hole and no fire and replaced the coil and no diff.

explain exactly how you are testing for spark

check to make sure the ground wires on the wiring harness is making good contact with the frame

does this blaster still have the tors hooked up also ?

yes the tors is on and ive tried a screwdriver and 2 spark plugs.

until you elemenate that tors you will never know if it is causing you problems or not. it is just one more variable to take out of the equation when you are problem solving. the fewer variables the easier it is to come to a good conclution. the tors is complete garbage.

ok so i pulled it with the truck, its turned over and smoked like heck then it popped a few times then finnaly cranked. rode it back and it backfired badly but worked it out and ran halfway decent. shut it off and then came back and it wanted to start but no. Plug? oh yea ngk must SUCK

check your flywheel key too

i am pretty sure almost eveyone uses ngk, from personal experience i stay away from champion plugs

kinda sounds like a broken reed or sheared flywheel key

Reeds most likely, flywheel key possibly.

Quickie TORS delete: unplug blk/wht wire from tors box (upper left, under hood) to cdi and insulate it.

i unplugged the tors by the carb and eliminated the wire at the throttle handle.

That SHOULD be good enough, but unplugging the TORS control box removes all doubt. And what do you mean "eliminated"? I'm hoping you didn't connect them together.
