If you have a good amount of resistance on kicker when kicking it over than you can (assume) you have good compression. So yes if you know what it should kick like with good compression

Yeah I have a pretty good amount of resistance when kicking it. I tried using my stock carb and it was olmost impossible to kick. It’s like it’s not able to let out the air or something. After replacing every part on my stock carb it still didn’t work my guess is the float level is all jacked up. I used my new aftermarket carb after replacing the gasket. And it just backfires bad. And is all over the place on reving. I’m going to assume it’s another air leak or the Chinese carburetor pooping out.

Did you measure float height?
Back firing ?thru carb?
If so that is ussualy. Bad or broken reeds. Tips need to seal good.
Flywheel key could be sheared. I would check these 2. You will need the proper puller for the flywheel.they are cheap.

I checked the reeds and they are still perfect. But I noticed the reed cage and intake boot are both warped from over tightening which causes a bad air leak. So I bought v force reads and new intake boot. And figured out the carb had a wrong needle valve float size. So I replaced it and it doesn’t dump gas and should work.
Welp, i found another air leak on the plate that connects to the end of the exhaust, not sure If I could seal it with yamabound 4. Or should I have to replace the gasket?
