idle is funny and bogs under throttle

The stator is brand new and grounded good to the frame. To me it sounds like I'm getting to much air.

BTW I took the filter off to try it and it dies once its off unless I get on the throttle a bit, but it dont rev just bogs still.

id really try another jet. 270 man, and check your float level. sounds like its either starvin or choking...what doe the plug look like now?

Alright Ill run to gap racing tomorrow. The last time I looked it was black.

I havnt read the other 2 pages so I don't know what you have and have not checked yet but I had a very similar problem before. Sometimes wouldn't start up on the first kick, weird sounding idle, bogged down and sometimes stalled when given throttle, and would die when I would try to ride it in gear. It turned out one of my reed petals ( vf3's ) came loose and dropped down out of place. Finally after hours of doin this and that I took my reed cage out and found the reed petal sittin on the intake bridge, thank god it didn't make it into my cylinder. I would check your reeds ASAP if you havnt already before you cylinder eats a reed petal and spits debree down into your crank !

I did check them they looked fine to me but I think Ill still replace them but Im gunna flip them first.

You said you did a comoPression test what about a leak down test to checks for Air leaks. You could have an air leak somewhere.
Idk about that Black plug though. Sounds Rich. Did you ever check your carb float level? Needle sticking? Leaking by?

BTW I took the filter off to try it and it dies once its off unless I get on the throttle a bit, but it dont rev just bogs still.

If it gets worse with the lid off, then the mix is too lean!

Leak down test, to make sure it is air tight.

It is not so unusual for a plug to be black, especially if it has not got to operating temp.

The black crap looks like the remains of a poor quality foam filter that has broken up and still resides within the intake duct.

I did not get a chance to get a leak down tester yet. I was thinking of making my own. The float looks fine I didnt measure it, the needle isnt sticking nor fuel leaking by. and honestly it dont seem to get worse with the filter lid off, just seems the same just is louder with it off. I still have yet to flip the reeds thats for tomorrow morning.

Well even with the stock 230 jet it seems im rich? The tank was full and its empty now and it has not ran much just idled. Seems odd to me.
