I put a piston in my engine because I hurt the old one. While it was apart I cleaned up ports and raised exhaust 1 mm. After alot of thought and questions I decided it was a mild change so I did it. Engine now runs great from mid to top but has a little less torque (feels pipey). This was expected. My question is which is the best way to get back a little torque. I have a few things in mind, timing advance is in the right direction. I'm not sure if milling head will do anything. Basic stuff here. I dont want to mess stuff up so a real engine builder has nothing to work with when I send them these parts to trick out.

send the head out to your builder of choice to be redesigned. thats one of the biggest problems with these motors

getting the head redesign will give you the biggest improvement for the low/mid range power, i was also told that you can add some weight to the fly wheel and that will help keep the motor from feeling pipey
