this is what my dad uses on his mustangs engine. Its high temperature black silicone

that sh*t is expensive i used to use a red colored silicone but i can't find it on ace ahrdware so was wondering if the blue is ok?

the black isn't expensive, its only $4.99. the other silicone might work to it says up to 500 degrees

Got mine at Lowe's. It's black and can stand up to 2,000 Degs F. That stuff handles 500.
