i just got off the horn with the local mechanic too see how much to bore out my blasters cylinder,they want $100 just for the bore and $215 for a 10 over stock piston kit.
for that price ill send it to ken and get the head done as well.

yeah, thats outrageous. the local shop here is only going to charge 30 bucks to bore my warrior jug. send that sh*t to ken or flotek for a job that's worth the moolah.

It's not a 2 stroke, but I paid $35 to get my prairie 400 bored .040" and it was done the next day

question, do your prices include the honing too?

it only cost me 40$ to bore my stock cyclinder .010 over (1 oversize) and that was honed and everything at my local shop

and then i bought a wiseco top end kit for 100$ from the shop so obviously they had to make a few bucks off it but the prices your shop gave you are rediculous

That was including end gapping the rings too. I took a new piston and my cylinder over to the local parts house. They transported it to Durham to their machine shop, bored .040", finish honed it, and checked the end gap on the rings. It was returned to the local parts house wrapped in plastic ready to to be scrubbed out with soap and installed.
