i cant figure out how to take off my carb

i cant figure out how to take off my carb, i know you have to take off the 2 metal clamps, i did that but i cant figure out how to take off that big round nut thats attaching the carb to somthing on top of it, please help-thanks

you just have to loosen it. if it still has that brass colored retainer you have to loosen the phillips head screw on the carb that locks the tors cap in place so it doesn't unscrew. you might have to gentely use some channel locks to loosen the cap.

is it the normal righty tighty lefty loosey or is it reversed, and to unscrew it do i need to just unscrew the whole round nut itself or do i have to loossen something else first cause theres a bolton top of it

you have to unscrew it all the way....and if you havent already...take your seat and tank off...makes it alot easier...

yes the big round cap on top of the carb. i use antiseise on mine when i put it together.

iight ill try it tomorow, i tried to unscrew it but its a pain in the ass cause its in an anoyying spot where i can barely get ahold of it and i cant figure out how to unscrew it with out using my hands

you don't own a pair of channle locks? they work pretty ez just be gentle

pop the carb out of the intake so you have it in your hand then take that cap off. it will come out of there just push on teh ack side of teh intake and pop out the frontside.

grab i with a plier and twist it to the left like a normal screw its the throttle body.
